Getting started
What sales data do I need?
Past sales with a date and a quantity, and ideally a column that names each product.
How do I upload my sales file?
New forecast → Add your sales history → choose the file → Upload and check.
Can I paste a table instead of uploading a file?
Yes: copy the cells from Excel, Google Sheets or a web page and paste them in 'Or paste a table'.
Your data
Which file types work?
Excel (.xlsx, .xls, .xlsb, .xlsm), Apple Numbers (.numbers), OpenDocument (.ods), CSV and text tables, tables in Word (.docx), JSON, and HTML tables.
My sales report is a PDF or a photo
PDFs and photos can't be read yet. Export the report as Excel or CSV, or copy the table and paste it.
Choosing the date, sales and product columns
We suggest the columns; check them on 'Check what we understood' and change them if needed.
My dates aren't recognised, or day and month are mixed up
Most date styles work. 03/04 is read as day/month; check the warning if your file uses month/day.
My file has too many rows
Till exports with one row per sale can be large. Export a report of sales per product per day, or upgrade.
Duplicate rows and receipt numbers
Rows for the same product and day are added up. Exact copies are flagged and can be removed.
One-off sales spikes (bulk orders)
Sales far above normal for that day are flagged. Keep them, or soften them for the forecast.
Missing values and days without sales
Rows missing a date, quantity or product are left out; days without sales count as zero.
Products that stopped selling
Every product's history runs to the end of your file, so discontinued products forecast near zero.

Hourly forecasts for restaurants and cafés
Upload a till export with the time of each sale and choose Forecast by: Hour.
How to read your forecast
Forecast is the expected sales; Low and High are the likely range; the accuracy note shows how it did on your recent sales.
What the accuracy scores mean
Error, simple method, bias, MASE and range hit rate, in plain words: what each one tells you and what's good.
Why did it use the simple method?
The advanced models are only used if they beat a simple method on your own recent sales.

When is my data deleted?
Uploads after 24 hours; forecast results after 72 hours by default, or 30 or 90 days if you choose.
